F.U.N. began in February 2004 when a group of parents from Winterton, Martham, Rollesby and Ormesby met to set up a voluntary group to explore projects involving families with young children and linking The White House Nursery School with local village communities. A committee was formed and F.U.N. was born with help from Martham C.L.I.P.

Since that beginning F.U.N. has organised "Help Your Child at School" sessions, hosted parenting workshops and Paediatric First Aid Courses in partnership with the nursery and Winterton Baby and Toddler Group. F.U.N. has also arranged a trip to The Houses of Parliament and a series of Creative Arts Workshops during a sunny week in June 2005 ending with Nutmeg Puppet Theatre's production of "Apple Pip".
